Portraits of Purpose - Mingus Solar Project
DBS Bank (Taiwan), together with Vena Energy launched “Sustainable Energy, Sustainable Ecosystem”, a film that talks about maintaining the balance between renewable energy development and ecological conservation. As part of DBS’s “Portraits of Purpose” campaign, the film focuses on the 70 MW Mingus Solar Project in Chiayi County, which was realized through the green financing provided by DBS, and celebrates the successful preservation of the natural habitat of Black-faced Spoonbills and other birds while balancing the development of renewable energy with environmental sustainability and establishing a model for the harmonious coexistence of renewable energy development and wildlife.
Vena Energy’s 7.5 MW “Reihoku” Wind Project
The 7.5 MW “Reihoku” Wind Project in the Kumamoto Prefecture in Japan is the first among several wind projects that Vena Energy is currently constructing in Japan. The Reihoku Wind Project will be able to supply clean and green energy to up 4,200 Japanese households annually. Compared to thermal energy generation, the project’s clean generation will be equivalent to reducing up to 12,000 tonnes of greenhouse gas emissions and save up to 17 million litres of water every year.
Women Entrepreneurship Program in Indonesia
Since 2019 Vena Energy has been working closely with the host communities in the village of Geres in Indonesia to establish a Women Entrepreneurship Program, aimed at boosting the local economy as well as creating alternative revenue for the local women. In 2021 Vena Energy conducted a series of workshops to facilitate the processing, production and marketing of the local cassava chips. This year, the product is finally launched and we hope to introduce the program and the produce to the wider community in Indonesia.
