Building Curiosity, Powered by the Sun

Every great journey begins with curiosity. Every brighter future begins with learning.

Engineering a Greener Future begins with inspiring the next generation.

In July 2026, colleagues from Vena Group’s Singapore office visited Ban Kata School in Phuket, Thailand, during the team’s retreat for a hands-on green energy activity with local students.

Working alongside the students, Vena Group colleagues built, decorated and tested solar-powered model cars before putting them through a series of friendly races.

The activity introduced students to the basic principles of solar power in a simple and engaging way. By seeing the cars move using energy from the sun, they experienced first-hand how green energy can be applied in everyday life.

The session also encouraged creativity, communication, teamwork and problem-solving as each group worked towards a shared goal. Goodie bags were presented to the students at the end of the programme as a small memento of the day.

Beyond the activity itself, it was an opportunity to build meaningful connections with the local community while sharing knowledge in a way that was practical, engaging and memorable.

As a major green solutions provider driving the energy and digital infrastructure transition across Asia-Pacific, Vena Group believes that Engineering a Greener Future extends beyond the infrastructure we develop. It also means sharing knowledge, inspiring curiosity and helping the next generation discover the possibilities of green energy.

We thank the students and teachers of Ban Kata School for their warm welcome and enthusiastic participation, and our colleagues for making the experience such a meaningful one.
