Vena Energy has welcomed the first cohort of 15 bright engineering graduates to its flagship VTrain program, selected from over 1,000 applicants across India.
This 12-month initiative is designed to develop the next generation of renewable energy leaders through immersive experience across key departments including Operations & Maintenance, Projects & Construction, and Engineering & Performance.
“VTrain represents our commitment to developing future engineering talent,” said Nitin Apte, CEO of Vena Energy. “With a strong focus on sustainability, innovation and leadership, VTrain prepares these talented individuals to drive the future of green energy solutions. Their success directly supports our vision of a world with no compromises, where we build a carbon-free future and leave fossil fuels behind.”
What distinguishes VTrain is the personalised guidance participants receive from leaders and technical experts who provide insights into navigating industry challenges. The program combines structured learning with practical application, as participants work alongside experienced team members on meaningful projects.
Monika Rathi, Head of India at Vena Energy, explained the program’s dual focus. “VTrain fosters both technical expertise and practical skills required at site ensuring participants have the tools to succeed in an evolving industry. The initiative emphasizes a holistic approach to professional growth, fostering an environment where creativity and collaboration thrive,” she said.
“But this program offers more than just professional development. Participants are now part of our mission to accelerate the energy transition in India and across the Asia Pacific. Their fresh ideas and perspectives will help us engineer a more sustainable future for communities in the region.”
As these 15 VTrain participants begin their journey, they will contribute to innovation and operational excellence as Vena Energy continues to expand its renewable energy portfolio throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
