Vena Energy recently completed a school renovation project in Indonesia that restored safe learning environments for 370 primary school students affected by flooding.
The Flood-Affected School Renovation and Improve Sports Facilities project focused on SDN 17 Kesiman, a school in Denpasar Bali, where flooding had damaged critical infrastructure and learning spaces.
The initiative repaired road access to the school, renovated the basketball court and garden area, refreshed sports facilities and repainted school walls to create a more comfortable learning environment.
Beyond the physical upgrades, Vena Energy provided sports equipment, traditional games and literacy materials to encourage active lifestyles and strengthen students’ social interaction, as well as a dedicated space in the reading room to support students’ emotional wellbeing.
The program also promoted sustainability by installing refillable water gallon stations in each classroom to reduce single-use plastics and support healthy hydration habits among students.
Teacher, Ni Wayan Sukerti expressed gratitude for Vena Energy’s support in restoring the school after the flooding.
“We feel truly happy because this support is not merely material, it is, above all, an injection of energy that reignites our spirit to continue guiding and nurturing our students,” she said.
The project is part of Vena Energy’s commitment to fostering sustainable, healthy and inclusive communities in regions where we operate.
