Vena Energy Recognised in the 2026 FDI Insider Awards

Vena Energy has been named Renewable Energy Developer of the Year (Australia) 2026 in the FDI Insider Awards.

Presented by FDI Insider, a publication focused on foreign direct investment, the awards recognise organisations contributing to investment, sustainability and economic growth in their respective markets.

The recognition highlights Vena Energy’s continued progress in Australia, including approximately A$1.4 billion in green financing facilities announced in July to support solar and battery energy storage assets. Supported by 11 local and international lenders, the financing combines greenfield project funding with the refinancing of existing facilities.

The financing supports operational and under-construction assets across the Tailem Bend precinct in South Australia, the Wandoan South precinct in Queensland, and two adjacent battery energy storage units in New South Wales. The solar assets are expected to supply the annual electricity needs of approximately 198,000 Australian households and avoid more than one million tonnes of carbon emissions each year.

With a growing portfolio of solar, hybrid and energy storage projects across Australia, Vena Energy remains committed to supporting the country’s energy transition by delivering green energy solutions that contribute to grid stability, reliability and long-term energy security.

This recognition also reflects the collective efforts of Vena Energy’s employees, host communities and partners, whose continued collaboration is instrumental in delivering sustainable energy infrastructure.
