Praveen Jain is the Chief Risk Officer at Vena Group. He collaborates closely with local teams and various functions across the region to identify and mitigate risks associated with projects from origination through development. Praveen also serves as a member of the Investment Committee, contributing his risk insights to strategic decision-making and investment evaluations across the portfolio.

He has experience in banking and finance industry with about 25 years’ experience in roles including Fixed Income, Debt Capital Markets, Syndications and Treasury. Through these roles, he gained exposure to a wide range of markets, diverse management styles, and best business practices. His career has spanned several countries in South and Southeast Asia, executing transactions and building extensive experience in business risk identification and mitigation.

He has worked in many banks in Asia including Fleet National Bank, Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Chinatrust Commercial Bank, Axis Bank and ICICI.

A keen follower of fixed income markets, he was managing his own investments for about four years, further deepening his understanding of market dynamics. Mr Jain holds Postgraduate Diploma in Management from XLRI, India and a Bachelor of Engineering from University of Delhi. He has lived and worked in Delhi, Mumbai, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
