Daniel Astbury is the Global Head of Offshore Wind at Vena Energy, the renewable energy business arm of Vena Group. In this role, he leads the development and execution of Vena Energy’s offshore wind portfolio across the Asia-Pacific region, supporting the company’s strategic expansion and the region’s broader transition to green energy.

Daniel joined Vena Energy in 2016, initially serving as Managing Director for Indonesia, where he was instrumental in expanding the company’s presence and operations in Southeast Asia. This progression led to his current leadership of the offshore wind division, drawing on his deep expertise in renewable energy systems and large-scale project development.

Prior to joining Vena Energy, he was a Principal Engineer and Regional Business Development Manager for the Advisory Business of DNV in Asia Pacific. He holds a Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering from Swinburne University of Technology and has also undertaken a range of post-graduate studies through RMIT University in Melbourne, including electives through programs offered by MIT Portugal and Aarhus University.

His leadership is marked by a strong commitment to advancing sustainable green solutions and fostering innovation across the region’s evolving energy landscape. Through his work, he continues to play a pivotal role in positioning offshore wind as a cornerstone of Asia-Pacific’s clean energy future and in supporting the region’s broader transition to a low-carbon economy.
