Mask Donation and Coastal Clean-up in Yokji, South Korea

On 25 June 2021, Vena Energy participated in a donation and environmental conservation activity on the island of Yokji, south of the coast of South Korea. During the event, Vena Energy donated 11,000 Vena Energy-branded reusable masks to 2,049 Yokji islanders and worked together to clean up the shoreline and breakwaters of the island. Over a period of four hours, the 50-strong team collected approximately 6 tonnes of marine trash that included plastics, metals and polystyrene that threatened the marine life, as well as the safety of the islanders.
