At Vena Energy, we believe in the power of education and inspiration to drive meaningful change.
Recently, our India team had the privilege of hosting over 130 students from B.V.V.S. Polytechnic College, Government ITI College, and Government Polytechnic, Kalyandurg, at the KN Solar Site, Amreli Wind Plant, and TGP Wind Plant. This initiative was designed to provide students, who have chosen Renewable Energy as their final-year subject, with a comprehensive understanding of solar energy systems and the practical workings of solar and wind power plants.
One student shared their experience:
“It was an enriching experience as we had the opportunity to clear our doubts in a clear and understandable manner, making it easier to relate the concepts we’ve learned in school. We are also thankful for the hospitality extended by the Vena Energy team.”
Key Highlights of the Visit:
Safety Induction
- A thorough safety induction was provided, with all participants briefed on the necessary safety protocols during their visit.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) was distributed to ensure safety throughout the tour.
Technical Training
- Our site experts conducted detailed technical training to help students connect their classroom learning to real-world applications.
- A live demonstration of operations at our substations offered students hands-on insight into power generation.
CPR and First Aid Training
- Hands-on demonstrations of CPR and First Aid were conducted, along with the use of fire extinguishers and fire balls (a type of fire extinguishing equipment), emphasising the importance of emergency preparedness.
Guided Tour of the Sites
- Students were given a guided tour, where they learned about various components critical to energy conversion and distribution.
The visit provided invaluable learning experiences that complemented the students’ theoretical knowledge, igniting their professional aspirations in the renewable energy sector. This initiative underscores Vena Energy’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and promoting community wellness.
As S.S. Hubli, Principal of B.V.V.S. Polytechnic College, expressed:
“The practical applications and research-based insights presented will undoubtedly stimulate fresh perspectives for our students. We deeply appreciate the opportunity for our students to undergo in-plant training at the KN Solar Site, and your contribution to our educational endeavours is profoundly appreciated.”
Sri Y.S. Sridhar Kumar, Principal (FAC) of Government Polytechnic, Kalyandurg, Aanthapur, echoed these sentiments:
“We are truly grateful for the hospitality and detailed explanations provided by the Vena Energy team. My students and facilitators had an enriching experience learning about turbine operations and PSS power flow systems at the TGP Wind Plant.”
