Driving Community Impact in India: Q1 2025 in Review

At Vena Energy, our sustainable developments go hand-in-hand with our commitment to corporate social responsibility, which is built upon three core pillars: Environmental Conservation, Community Wellness, and Infrastructure.

Looking back at Q1 2025, we are proud to share our India team’s accomplishments in strengthening local communities through targeted infrastructure initiatives. These projects reflect our focus on developing essential facilities that create meaningful, lasting impacts for the communities where we operate.

Enhancing Educational Infrastructure

During Q1 2025, Vena Energy completed a renovation of school hygiene infrastructure at KPMPS School near our Mangoli wind farm in the Bijapur district, Karnataka. The project included installation of new toilets with proper water connections, construction of urinals and combi units, deployment of an overhead water tank for reliable water supply, and creative wall paintings featuring renewable energy themes and social messages.

This initiative has directly benefited over 500 students from classes 1 through 8, providing them with improved sanitation facilities and an enhanced learning environment that promotes awareness of environmental sustainability.

Expanding Healthcare Access

Recognising the critical need for improved healthcare facilities near our TGP wind farm in the Anantapur District, Vena Energy constructed a new 40 x 20-foot building at the Primary Health Centre within the Peddakowkuntla Village in Uravakonda Mandal.

The facility had struggled with insufficient space, affecting patients including pregnant women requiring monthly checkups. The newly constructed facility, equipped with essential furniture like chairs and tables, has significantly improved the consultation and meeting environment.

Local doctors, staff and community members have expressed appreciation for this development, which addresses a critical infrastructure gap in the region.

Ensuring Clean Water Access

Access to safe drinking water remains a challenge in many communities. Addressing this essential need, Vena Energy installed four Reverse Osmosis Water Systems at different schools near our TS Solar project site in the Sangareddy District. This initiative ensures that school students and the surrounding community have reliable access to clean and fresh drinking water, contributing to better health outcomes and quality of life.

HSSE Initiatives: Promoting Safety and Awareness

Beyond our infrastructure-focused CSR activities, Vena Energy participated in the 34th National Road Safety Week (Jan 11-17) and 54th National Safety Week (March 4-11), engaging nearly 1,000 workers and hundreds of community members in important safety awareness activities to improve road safety as well as onsite safety plans and practices.

Our Commitment

These Q1 initiatives in India reflect Vena Energy’s ongoing commitment to CSR, particularly in infrastructure development. By enhancing access to essential facilities like sanitation, healthcare and clean water, we continue to drive sustainable development in partnership with our host communities.
